[001] The present invention refers to a washing machine.
[002] In particular, the present invention relates to a front loading domestic washing machine, to which the following description refers purely by way of example without implying any loss of generality.
[003] As is known, currently marketed front loading domestic washing machines comprise: a substantially parallelepiped-shaped box-like outer cladding with a structure for resting on the floor; a substantially bell-shaped washing tub, which is floating suspended within the liner, directly facing a laundry loading/unloading opening provided in the front wall of the liner; a substantially cylindrical and elastically deformable bellows connecting the front opening of the washing tub to the laundry loading/unloading opening formed in the front wall of the liner; a door with a window that is hinged to the cladding front wall to rotate to and from a closed position, in which the door closes the laundry loading/unloading opening in the cladding front wall for a watertight seal of the wash tub ; a substantially cylindrical, bell-shaped rotating drum with a structure for storing the laundry to be washed, and which is fitted inside the washing tub with its concavity facing the laundry loading/unloading opening and is supported by a axially rotatable mode to be able to rotate freely about its substantially horizontally oriented longitudinal axis; and an electric motor assembly having a structure for rotating the drum rotating about its longitudinal axis within the wash bowl.
[004] Like any other domestic washing machine, this type of washing machine further comprises: a detergent dispensing assembly that is generally located inside the box-type casing, immediately above the washing tub, and has a structure for the selective introduction into the washing vat, according to the washing cycle manually selected by the user, of a certain amount of detergent, softener and/or other washing agent properly mixed with clean water from the water network; a clean water supply circuit having a structure for selectively extracting clean water from the mains water according to the washing cycle manually selected by the user, and channeling said water to the detergent dispensing assembly or directly to the washing tub; and finally an apparatus control panel which is generally situated on the front wall of the liner, above the laundry loading/unloading opening, and having a structure to allow the user to manually select the desired wash cycle.
[005] The detergent dispensing set, in turn, generally comprises a detergent drawer that is usually divided into a number of detergent compartments, each with a structure so that it can be manually filled with a manually measured amount and previously loaded with detergent, fabric softener or other washing agent sufficient to carry out a single wash cycle, and which is manually withdrawable fit/inserted in a fully recessed drawer casing, the entrance of which is generally located in the upper right corner or left of the front wall of the cladding, above the laundry loading/unloading opening and horizontally next to the appliance control panel.
[006] In recent years, some appliance manufacturers have decided to equip the washing machine with a portable, pen-shaped and ultrasonic laundry stain removal tool. EP1860227 discloses a front loading domestic washing machine, wherein the pen-shaped ultrasonic laundry stain removal tool is located inside an auxiliary tank compartment realized in the detergent drawer of the detergent dispensing set .
[007] Unfortunately, the location of the laundry stain removal tool within the detergent drawer reduces the number and/or total capacity of the detergent compartments in the detergent drawer, with all the problems involved. Furthermore, the location of the laundry stain removal tool inside the detergent drawer does not seem to satisfy regular users as the total weight of the detergent drawer increases significantly.
[008] The document EP1681383 describes a clothes washing machine comprising, on the front wall of the casing, a traditional detergent drawer and a storage compartment for a pen-shaped stain removal tool. The detergent drawer is arranged horizontally beside the application control panel, while the stain remover tool storage compartment is positioned directly on the liner's front wall, immediately above the application control panel.

[029] A non-limiting embodiment of the present invention will be described below, by way of example, with reference to the attached drawings, in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a domestic front loading washing machine realized in accordance with the teachings of the present invention; Figure 2 is a perspective view of the washing machine in Figure 1 in a different operating configuration; Figure 3 is a side view of the upper portion of the washing machine in Figure 2 with parts removed for clarity; Figure 4 is a schematic view of the auxiliary cleaning assembly of the washing machine in Figure 1; while - Figure 5 is a schematic view of an alternative embodiment of the illustrated auxiliary cleaning assembly of the washing machine of Figure 1.
[030] Referring to Figures 1, 2 and 3, reference numeral 1 indicates as a whole a front loading domestic washing machine comprising: a box-like rigid outer shell preferably but not necessarily substantially shaped of parallelepiped 2 that has a structure to rest on the ground; a hollow washing tub, preferably substantially cylindrical and bell-shaped (not shown) which is arranged inside the casing 2 with its opening or mouth directly facing a laundry loading/unloading opening realized in the front wall 3 of the casing box type 2; and a substantially cylindrical, bell-shaped rotating drum (not shown) having a structure for housing the laundry to be washed, and axially rotatably located within the washing tub so as to be able to rotate freely about its axis. of longitudinal reference.
[031] In the illustrated example, in particular, the opening for loading/unloading of laundry is preferably carried out in the front wall 3 of the covering 2 substantially on both sides of the vertical central plane of the covering 2, and the mouth or front opening of the tub of washing (not shown) is preferably watertightly connected to the laundry loading/unloading opening realized in the front wall 3 by means of a preferably substantially cylindrical connecting bellows (not shown) preferably having an elastically deformable structure.
[032] Furthermore, the washing tub (not shown) is preferably suspended floating within the casing 2 and is also preferably disposed within the box-type casing 2 with its longitudinal reference axis L substantially orienting horizontally, or that is, substantially perpendicular to the front wall 3.
[033] The rotating drum (not shown), in turn, is located axially rotating inside the washing tub (not shown) with its front opening facing directly towards/in line with the laundry loading/unloading opening on the front wall 3, and the axis of rotation of the drum is preferably arranged locally and substantially coincident with the horizontally oriented longitudinal reference axis L of the washing tub.
[034] With reference to Figures 1, 2 and 3, the front loading washing machine 1 further comprises: - a door with a window 4 which is hinged to the front wall 3 of the cladding 2 to rotate around a reference axis preferably, although not necessarily, oriented vertically to and from a closing position, in which the peripheral edge of the spyglass door 4 is completely stopped on the front wall 3 for closing the laundry loading/unloading opening and the sealing to the wash tub water (not shown); - an electric motor assembly (not shown) which is located inside the casing 2 and has a structure for placing the rotating drum (not shown) in rotation about its longitudinal reference axis within the washing tub (not shown); - a detergent dispensing set 5 which is located within the casing 2 in an easily accessible way by the user, and has a structure for selective introduction into the wash tub (not shown), according to the selected wash cycle, of a given amount of detergent, softener and/or other washing agent preferably suitably mixed with the clean water from the mains water; and - a main clean water supply circuit (not shown) which has a structure to be connected to the water network and to selectively channel a clean water flow from the water network to the detergent distribution set 5 and/or directly to the wash tub (not shown), preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of clean water towards the detergent dispenser assembly 5 and/or the wash tub.
[035] Finally, the washing machine 1 comprises a control panel of the apparatus 6 which has a structure to allow the user to manually select the desired washing cycle, and which is located on the front wall 3 of the cladding 2, above of the laundry loading/unloading opening and substantially just below the top counter or top wall 7 preferably substantially horizontally oriented of the same covering 2.
[036] The detergent distribution set 5, in turn, is preferably located inside the coating 2 above the washing tub (not shown), that is, between the upper counter 7 of the coating 2 and the washing tub ( not shown), and has a structure for selectively introducing into the washing vat located underneath (not shown) a manually metered and pre-loaded amount of detergent, softener and/or other washing agent sufficient to carry out only a single wash cycle. In other words, detergent dispenser set 5 is a single dose detergent dispenser.
[037] With reference to Figures 1 and 2, in the illustrated example, in particular, the detergent dispensing set 5 preferably comprises a detergent drawer 10 which can be manually filled with an amount of detergent, softener and/or other detergent wash sufficient to carry out only a single wash cycle, and which is manually extractable fit/inserted into a fully recessed corresponding drawer casing 11 which preferably extends substantially horizontally within the box-type liner 2 while remaining below the top counter or top wall 7 and above the washing tub (not shown), and communicates with the exterior of the cladding 2 via an opening or front entrance 11a which is made in the front wall 3 of the cladding 2 by above the laundry loading/unloading opening and under the upper counter or upper wall 7 of the cladding 2.
[038] In the illustrated example, in particular, the drawer housing 11 is preferably placed completely in recess within the casing 2, immediately below the upper counter or the top wall 7 of the casing 2, in order to establish its opening or entrance front 11a on front wall 3 immediately below the edge of the front side of the counter top or top wall 7 of the same cladding 2.
[039] The detergent drawer 10, in turn, is preferably movable within the drawer housing 11 along a direction of travel preferably substantially horizontally oriented between a retracted position (see Figure 2), in which the drawer of detergent 10 is completely recessed within the drawer housing 11, i.e. within the casing 2, preferably while simultaneously closing the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer housing 11; and a fully withdrawn position (see Figure 1), in which the detergent drawer 10 protrudes partially from the front wall 3 of the liner 2 through the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer housing 11, so as to allow easy manual refilling of the same. detergent drawer 10.
[040] In addition to the above, the detergent drawer 10 is preferably movable within the drawer housing 11 along a substantially horizontally oriented direction of travel that is locally substantially perpendicular to the front wall 3 of the liner 2.
[041] Preferably, the drawer housing 11 also has a substantially basin-shaped bottom portion (not shown) that communicates directly with the interior of the wash tub located below via a suitable connecting tube (not shown), and the detergent dispenser assembly 5 preferably further comprises another water supply circuit (not shown) which is connected to or incorporated into the main clean water supply circuit, and has a channeling/spill structure selectively, when the detergent drawer 10 is in the retracted position, a certain amount of clean water from the mains water directly into the detergent drawer 10, in order to selectively eliminate/expel the detergent, softener or other washing agent from the detergent drawer 10 and pour into the bottom of the drawer 11 wrapper. This mixture of water and detergent, fabric softener or other washing agent circulates from then into the washing tub via the connecting tube (not shown) expanding from the basin-shaped bottom of the drawer housing 11.
[042] Referring to Figure 1, in the illustrated example, in particular, the detergent drawer 10 is preferably divided into a quantity/plurality of detergent compartments 10a (three detergent compartments in the illustrated example), each of which can be manually filled with a respective quantity of detergent, fabric softener or other washing agent sufficient to carry out a single wash cycle; and the water supply circuit of the detergent dispenser assembly 5 preferably has a structure to pour/pour clean water from the main clean water supply circuit (not shown) selectively and alternatively into any of the compartments. of detergent 10a from the detergent drawer 10, so as to selectively eliminate the detergent, fabric softener or other washing agent from the same detergent compartment 10a and pour into the bottom of the drawer housing 11.
[043] More particularly, in the illustrated example, the water supply circuit of the detergent dispensing assembly 5 preferably has a structure to selectively pour/pour a dense bath of water droplets by gravity directly into any of the compartments of detergent 10a from the detergent drawer 10, so as to remove the detergent, fabric softener or other washing agent from the detergent compartment 10a and pour into the bottom of the drawer housing 11.
[044] Referring to Figures 1, 2 and 3, the washing machine 1 is additionally equipped with a drawer-like support structure 13 which is releasably fitted/inserted into a fully recessed corresponding drawer housing 14 which it preferably extends substantially horizontally within the casing 2 while remaining below the top counter or top wall 7 and above the wash tub (not shown). Furthermore, the drawer housing 14 communicates with the exterior of the casing 2 via a front opening or entrance 14a which is made in the front wall 3 of the casing 2 above the laundry loading/unloading opening and below the counter top or top wall 7 of cladding 2, and the control panel of the apparatus 6 is located/arranged on a front side of the drawer-type support structure 13.
[045] In more detail, the drawer casing 14 communicates with the exterior of the casing 2 via a front opening or entrance 14a which is made in the front wall 3 above the laundry loading/unloading opening and below the upper counter or from the top wall 7 of the cladding 2, and preferably also horizontally next to the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer casing 11.
[046] In other words, the drawer casing 14 is preferably placed completely recessed within the casing 2, immediately below the top counter or the top wall 7 of casing 2, in order to establish the respective opening or front entrance 14a in the front wall 3 of the cladding, immediately below the edge of the front side of the counter top or the top wall 7 of the cladding 2 and next to the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer enclosure 11.
[047] Consequently, the detergent dispensing assembly 5 is preferably situated within the liner 2 horizontally next to the drawer-like support structure 13 and the corresponding drawer casing completely in recess 14.
[048] In the illustrated example, in particular, the drawer housing 11 of the detergent dispensing set 5 is preferably arranged within the casing 2 so as to establish its opening or front entrance 11a immediately below the top counter or top wall 7 of cladding 2, approximately in the upper left corner of front wall 3; while the drawer casing 14 of the drawer-like support structure 13 is preferably disposed within the box-like casing 2, so as to establish its front opening or entrance 14a immediately below the top counter or top wall 7 of casing 2 and together from the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer housing 11, approximately in the upper right corner of the front wall 3.
[049] Preferably, the front opening or entrance 14a of the drawer casing 14 is furthermore immediately adjacent to the front opening or entrance 11a of the drawer casing 11 and extends below the counter or top wall 7 of the casing 2, from the opening or front entrance 11a of the drawer housing 11 substantially to the right side wall of the same covering 2, i.e. below the remaining portion of the front side end of the upper counter or the top wall 7 of the covering 2.
[050] The drawer-like support structure 13, in turn, directly supports the control panel of the apparatus 6 and is movable within the drawer housing 14 along a preferably substantially horizontally oriented direction of travel between — a retracted position (see Figure 1) in which the drawer-type support structure 13 is completely inserted into the drawer housing 14, i.e., completely recessed within the casing 2, and disposes the control panel of the apparatus 6 substantially in the same plane as front wall 3 of cladding 2, substantially at the closure of front opening or entrance 14a of drawer casing 14; and — a fully withdrawn position (see Figures 2 and 3) in which the drawer-like support structure 13 protrudes partially from the front wall 3 of the skin 2 through the opening or front entrance 14a of the drawer housing 14, in order to move the panel control of the device 6 forwards away from the front wall 3 of the cladding 2, at a maximum distance from said front wall 3.
[051] In the illustrated example, in particular, the drawer-like support structure 13 is preferably manually withdrawable fit/inserted into the drawer shell 14 completely recessed, and is movable within the drawer shell 14 along a direction of displacement substantially horizontally d which is preferably locally substantially perpendicular to the front wall 3 of the liner 2, and is therefore locally substantially parallel to the direction of displacement of the detergent drawer 10 of the single-cycle detergent dispenser 8 .
[052] The control panel of apparatus 6, in turn, is preferably powered via a power cable or via electromagnetic induction and, moreover, preferably communicates with the electronic central control unit (not shown) of washing machine 1 wired or wireless.
[053] Referring to Figures 2, 3 and 4, the front loading washing machine 1 is further equipped with an auxiliary and manually operated laundry cleaning assembly 15 comprising a substantially pen-shaped, portable electric tool stain removal tool 16 and is arranged/located within the drawer-type support structure 13, behind the control panel of the apparatus 6, so as to be closed/recessed within the liner 2 when the drawer-type support structure 13 is arranged in the stowed position (see Figure 1).
[054] In more detail, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 is placed in a manually easy-to-handle manner in a corresponding upper deposit compartment 17 realized/provided on the drawer-like support structure 13, behind the panel control of the apparatus 6. Accordingly, the drawer-like support structure 13 also directly supports the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16 and is movable in a displacement direction preferably substantially horizontally oriented between — a retracted position (see Figure 1) in which the drawer-like support frame 13 is completely recessed/inserted into the drawer housing 14, so as to place/close the storage compartment 17 within the casing 2 to hide the tool in User's clothing stain removal pen shape 16, that is, to make the clothing stain removal pen-shaped tool 16 inaccessible to the user, and so as to simultaneously arrange the control panel 6 in substantially the same plane as the front wall 3 of the cladding 2, in closing the opening or front entrance 14a of the drawer housing 14; and — a fully withdrawn position (see Figures 2 and 3) in which the drawer-like support frame 13 protrudes partially from the front wall 3 of the shell 2, so as to place/dispose the storage compartment 17 completely outside the shell 2 for make the pen-shaped clothing stain removal tool 16 easily accessible to the user, and at the same time move the appliance control panel 6 forwards away from the front wall 3 of the casing 2 by a distance maximum of the front wall 3.
[055] In the illustrated example, in particular, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 of the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 preferably includes an electric, portable, substantially pen-shaped and ultrasonic stain-removal tool in the garment 16 which is preferably equipped, at the respective end portion, with a sound emitter capable of emitting ultrasonic waves which can be used for the treatment of stained portions of the garment preferably in conjunction with a process fluid, such as for example , clean water and/or a consumable stain removing agent or other detergent agent suitable for use with the pen-shaped and ultrasonic laundry stain removing tool 16.
[056] In a less sophisticated embodiment, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 of the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 may alternatively include a portable, substantially pen-shaped, pen-shaped cleaning and stain removal tool on the laundry 16 which is equipped, at its end portion, with a vibrating brush head which can be used to mechanically scrub/brush the stained portions of the laundry preferably in conjunction with a process fluid such as clean water and/or a consumable stain removing agent or other detergent agent suitable for use with the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16.
[057] In addition to the above, with reference to Figures 2 and 4, the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 preferably further comprises a detergent reservoir 18 which has a structure for receiving a certain quantity (e.g., half a liter) of a consumable stain removing agent or other detergent agent suitable for use with the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16, i.e., a certain amount of process fluid. This detergent reservoir 18 is preferably arranged/located in a corresponding location realized in the drawer-type support structure 13, so as to allow the user to easily introduce the stain removing agent or other detergent agent into the same detergent reservoir 18 when the drawer-like support structure 13 is arranged in the fully withdrawn position.
[058] In other words, the detergent reservoir 18 is preferably situated in the drawer-type support structure 13 and the drawer-type support structure 13 is movable in a direction of displacement preferably substantially horizontally oriented between
[059] — a retracted position (see Figure 1) in which the drawer-type support frame 13 is completely recessed/inserted into the drawer housing 14, so as to place/close the deposit compartment 17 and the storage reservoir. detergent 18 inside the liner 2 to hide the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 and the user's detergent reservoir 18, that is, to make the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 and the detergent reservoir 18 inaccessible to the user, and so as to simultaneously dispose the control panel 6 substantially in the same plane as the front wall 3 of the casing 2, at the closing of the opening or front entrance 14a of the drawer casing 14; — a fully withdrawn position (see Figures 2 and 3) in which the drawer-like support structure 13 protrudes partially from the front wall 3 of the cladding 2, in order to place/arrange the storage compartment 17 and the loading mouth or inlet of the detergent reservoirs 18 completely out of the liner 2 to make the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 and the mouth or loading inlet of the detergent reservoirs 18 easily accessible to the user, and so as to move at the same time the control panel of the device 6 forwards away from the front wall 3 of the cladding 2 at a maximum distance from the front wall 3.
[060] Referring to Figure 4, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 equipped with the sound emitter or vibrating brush head is preferably, though not necessarily, also equipped, preferably in the respective portion. end, with a nozzle capable of spraying the process fluid to be used in conjunction with the same laundry stain removal tool 16 onto the laundry during the treatment of the hatched area of the laundry, i.e., for example, clean water and/or a stain removing agent or other detergent agent; and the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 is preferably additionally equipped with a supply piping which is preferably at least partially disposed/located in the drawer-like support structure 13, and is capable of channeling, towards the cleaning tool. laundry stain removal 16, a flow of one or more process fluids, preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of the/each process fluid towards the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16.
[061] Consequently, the drawer-like support structure 13 comprises at least part of the supply piping of the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15.
[062] Obviously, in a less sophisticated modality, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 of the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 may lack the sound emitter or vibrating brush and be equipped in the respective portion of end, with the nozzle capable of spraying a process fluid from the supply piping onto the garment.
[063] In more detail, with reference to Figure 4, the supply piping of the laundry set 15 preferably comprises: a detergent agent supply circuit 19 which is at least partially arranged/located on the type support structure drawer 13, and having a structure for channeling, on command, a flow of stain removing agent or other detergent agent from the detergent reservoir 18 to the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16, preferably while controlling /regulates the flow rate of the detergent agent towards the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16; and optionally also a water supply circuit 20 which is at least partially arranged/located on the drawer-like support structure 13, and has a structure for channeling, on command, a flow of clean water into the detergent reservoir. 18, preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of clean water towards the detergent reservoir 18.
[064] In the illustrated example, in particular, the supply piping of the laundry cleaning set 15 preferably comprises an umbilical cord 21 containing a flexible structure and connecting the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 to the laundry structure. drawer-like support 13, and the detergent agent supply circuit 19 is preferably at least partially incorporated in the umbilical cord 21, so as to reach the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[065] Preferably, the supply piping of the laundry cleaning assembly 15 further has a structure for supplying electrical energy to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[066] In other words, the supply piping preferably comprises a power cord (not shown) with a structure to electrically power the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16, and that power cord is preferably by the less partially, embedded within umbilical cord 2.
[067] Alternatively, the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 may also be powered by a battery pack located within the same pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[068] In addition to the above, the drawer-like support structure 13 is preferably additionally equipped with an auxiliary storage compartment with a structure for housing the supply pipeline 21 when the laundry stain removal tool 16 is inside of the deposit compartment 17. In the illustrated example, in particular, the deposit compartment 17 is of a suitable shape/size to accommodate the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 and the supply piping 21.
[069] With reference to Figure 4, in the illustrated example, in particular, the detergent agent supply circuit 19 preferably comprises a connecting pipe or hose 23 connecting the detergent reservoir 18 to the pen-shaped stain removal tool on the garment 16, and which preferably also has a structure for at least partially extending into the supply line 21 to the pen-shaped garment stain removal tool 16; and an electrical detergent supply pump 24 which is preferably located/arranged in the drawer-type support structure 13, along the connecting pipe or hose 23, and has a structure for selectively aspirating, from the detergent reservoir 18, the stain removing agent or other detergent agent stored therein, and pumping/channeling said stain removing agent or other detergent agent along said connecting tubing or hose 23 to the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16.
[070] In more detail, the detergent feed pump 24 is preferably a displacement pump that has a structure to selectively aspirate a sequence of one or more basic amounts of stain removing agent or other detergent agent from the detergent reservoir 18 and pumping/channeling said sequence of one or more basic amounts of stain removing agent or other detergent agent into the pen-shaped laundry stain removing tool 16.
[071] The water supply circuit 20, in turn, is preferably connected to, or incorporated into, the main clean water supply circuit (not shown) of washing machine 1, and preferably further comprises: a pipe or connecting hose 25 connecting the detergent reservoir 18 to the clean water supply circuit (not shown), so as to channel clean water from the mains water towards the detergent reservoir 18; and preferably also an electrically controlled on-off (opening/closing) valve 26 or similar, which is arranged/placed between the clean water supply circuit and the connecting pipe or hose 25, and is capable of controlling/regulating the flow of clean water along the connecting pipe or hose 25 towards the detergent reservoir 18.
[072] With reference to Figure 4, the supply piping of the laundry set 15 preferably additionally comprises a second water supply circuit 27 which is, at least partially, arranged/located in the drawer-like support structure 13 , and which has a structure to channel, on command, a flow of clean water to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16, preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of the clean water towards the shaped tool. of clothing stain removal pen 16.
[073] In the illustrated example, in particular, the water supply circuit 27 is preferably connected to, or incorporated in, the clean water supply circuit (not illustrated) of the washing machine 1. As the supply circuit of detergent agent 19, the water supply circuit 27 is still preferably at least partially incorporated within the umbilical cord 21 so as to reach the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 by the umbilical cord 21.
[074] In more detail, in the illustrated example, the water supply circuit 27 preferably comprises a connecting pipe or hose 28 that connects the clean water supply circuit (not illustrated) of the washing machine 1 to the tool in the form of laundry stain removing pen 16, so as to channel clean water from the mains towards the laundry stain removing pen tool 16, and which preferably also has a structure so as to at least partially extending into the supply line 21 to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16; and preferably also an electrically controlled on-off valve 29 or similar, which is arranged/placed between the clean water supply circuit and the connecting pipe or hose 28, and is capable of controlling/regulating the flow of clean water along the connecting tubing or hose 28 towards the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[075] With reference to Figure 2, the operation of the detergent feed pump 24, the operation of the on-off valve 26, the operation of the on-off valve 29 and/or the turning on and off of the pen-shaped tool Laundry stain removal tools 16 are preferably controlled via corresponding manually operated push buttons 30 located on the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[076] With reference to Figures 2 and 4, the detergent reservoir 18, in turn, preferably comprises: a storage tank preferably substantially shaped like a parallelepiped 31 which has a structure to be manually filled with a large amount ( for example, half a liter) of consumable stain removal agent or other detergent agent, and is located/incorporated in the drawer-type support structure 13 behind the control panel 6, so as to be freely accessible to the user when the drawer-type support 13 is in the fully withdrawn position, and to be hidden and inaccessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is arranged in the retracted position; and a manually removable lid 32 which has a structure for closing the sump tank 31, and is preferably situated on top of the sump tank 31, so as to be freely accessible to the user when the drawer-like support structure 13 is in position. extracted.
[077] In the illustrated example, in particular, the storage tank 31 is preferably arranged/located on the drawer-like support structure 13, behind the control panel of the apparatus 6, so that at least the manually removable lid 32 of the storage tank 31 is freely accessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is arranged in the withdrawn position (see Figure 2), and is completely hidden and inaccessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is arranged in the stowed position.
[078] Being freely accessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is in the withdrawn position, the manually removable cover 32 allows the user to introduce the consumable stain removal agent or other detergent agent into the detergent reservoir 18, and thereby forms the exposing mouth or loading inlet of the detergent reservoir 18.
[079] With reference to Figures 2 and 3, the drawer-like support structure 13 preferably further includes a work area 33 preferably substantially flat and preferably substantially horizontally oriented on which the user can spread the portion of generic clothing to be processed with the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[080] In the illustrated example, in particular, the drawer-like support structure 13 preferably includes a shelf portion 33 preferably substantially flat and horizontally oriented that has a structure to support the stained portion of the generic clothing to be processed with the tool. shaped clothing stain removal pen 16.
[081] Furthermore, in the illustrated example, the shelf portion 33 of the drawer-like support structure 13 preferably has a perforated structure and is preferably at the bottom with a collecting basin 34 which has a structure to collect the spilled process fluid/ sprayed on clothing during use of the pen-shaped clothing stain removal tool 16, i.e., the clean water and/or consumable stain removal agent or other detergent agent.
[082] The collection basin 34 preferably also communicates via a suitable drainage pipe 35 with the bottom of the washing tub (not shown) or directly with the drainage collector (not shown) of the washing machine 1 or with a washing machine generic drain piping 1 in order to channel the used process liquid, ie used water and/or used stain removing agent or other detergent agent, into the machine's drain pump washing machine 1, or directly out of the washing machine 1.
[083] Referring to Figure 2, in addition to the drawer-like support structure 13, the washing machine 1 is preferably, though not necessarily, additionally equipped with: — a pressure member which is preferably situated within the drawer housing 14 and has a structure to elastically push the drawer-type support frame 13 away from the stowed position (see Figure 1) and towards the fully withdrawn position (see Figures 2 and 3); — a locking mechanism 36 which is preferably situated on the drawer-like support structure 13, behind the control panel of the apparatus 6, and has a structure for automatically reaching and engaging in a stable, but easily removable way, on the panel or on the front portion of the drawer housing 14 which surrounds/forms the front opening or entrance 14a of the drawer housing 14, so as to keep the drawer-like support structure 13 in the retracted position and prevent the inner pressure member from pushing the support structure. drawer type 13 away from the stowed position; and finally - a manually operated push button 37 which is situated on the front side of the drawer-like support structure 13, i.e. on the control panel of the apparatus 6, and has a structure for forcing, when manually operated, the locking mechanism 36 to release the drawer-like support structure 13 from the drawer housing 14, thereby allowing the inner pressure member to push the drawer-like support structure 13 away from the retracted position.
[084] The general functioning of the front loading household washing machine 1 is clearly inferred from the above description, without further explanation being necessary.
[085] With respect to the auxiliary and manually operated laundry cleaning assembly 15, assuming that a stain on a garment is difficult to remove with just the wash cycle, the user can open the drawer-type support structure 13 and use the pen-shaped clothing stain removal tool 16 to attempt stain removal. The stain removal treatment performed by the pen-shaped clothing stain removal tool 16 basically consists of applying ultrasonic waves or mechanical friction to a portion of clothing that is locally wet with an adequate amount of water, stain removal agent and/or another detergent agent.
[086] Obviously, the user can arrange the drawer-type support structure 13 in the fully extracted position and use the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 even when a wash cycle is taking place inside the washing machine 1 .
[087] The advantages resulting from the arrangement of the auxiliary and manually operated laundry cleaning assembly 15 in the drawer-type support structure 13 that supports the control panel 6 are remarkable. In fact, the total capacity and weight of the detergent drawer 10 is the same as a traditional front-load washing machine that lacks the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool.
[088] Furthermore, the location of the auxiliary and manually operated laundry cleaning assembly 15 in the drawer-type support structure 13, behind the apparatus control panel 6, allows to maximize the use of empty space within the box-type 2 liner. In fact, in today's front-loading washing machines, the space behind the unit's control panel isn't often used.
[089] In addition, the packaging of the detergent reservoir 18 in the drawer-type support structure 13 and the connection of the detergent reservoir 18 to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16 via the detergent agent supply circuit 19 and the water supply circuit 27, i.e. via the supply piping, greatly simplifies the use of the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[090] Clearly, changes can be made to the front loading washing machine 1 as described above without, however, departing from the scope of the present invention.
[091] For example, according to a more sophisticated embodiment of the washing machine 1, the detergent dispensing assembly 5 may be an automatic metering detergent dispenser which is preferably located within the casing 2, horizontally next to the structure of drawer type support 13 and corresponding drawer casing 14, and has a structure to automatically divide into portions/dose, in line with the selected wash cycle, the appropriate amount/dose of detergent, softener and/or other washing agent to be used during the selected wash cycle and thereafter introducing said amount/dose of detergent, softener and/or other washing agent into the wash tub (not shown).
[092] In more detail, preferably the detergent drawer 10 can be replaced by a second drawer-like support structure that is releasably fitted/inserted into a fully recessed corresponding drawer casing that replaces the drawer liner 11. This second drawer-like support structure accommodates/incorporates at least part of the automatic dosing detergent dispenser.
[093] The automatic dosing detergent dispenser, in turn, may preferably comprise one or more detergent reservoirs, each with a structure for receiving a large quantity (e.g., half a liter or a liter) of detergent , softener and/or other washing agent sufficient to carry out a large number of washing cycles; and one or more electric detergent supply pumps (not shown) preferably of a volumetric type, each preferably having a structure to selectively aspirate, from a corresponding detergent reservoir, the specific amount of detergent, softener or other washing agent required and sufficient to carry out the selected wash cycle, and pump/channel said specific amount of detergent, softener or other washing agent into the wash tub.
[094] Furthermore, with reference to Figure 5, according to another more sophisticated mode of washing machine 1, the supply pipeline of the auxiliary laundry cleaning assembly 15 lacks the water supply circuit 27, and alternatively it comprises: — a water reservoir 38 having a structure for receiving a large quantity (e.g., half a litre) of clean water, and is preferably situated in the drawer-like support structure 13 together with the detergent reservoir 18; — a water supply circuit 39 which is, at least partially, arranged/located on the drawer-like support structure 13, and has a structure for channeling, on command, a flow of clean water from the water reservoir 38 to the pen shaped laundry stain removing tool 16, preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of the clean water towards pen shaped laundry stain removing tool 16; and optionally also - a water replenishment circuit 40 which is at least partially arranged/located in the drawer-like support structure 13, and has a structure for channeling, on command, a flow of clean water from the water network to the water reservoir 38, preferably while controlling/regulating the flow rate of the clean water towards the water reservoir 38.
[095] In more detail, in the illustrated example, the water supply circuit 39 preferably comprises a connecting pipe or hose 41 that connects the water reservoir 38 to the connecting pipe or hose 23 and/or directly to the pen-shaped tool laundry stain removal tool 16 (and, in the latter case, preferably also has a structure so as to at least partially extend into the supply line 21 to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool. 16); and an electric water supply pump 42 which is preferably located/arranged in the drawer-like support structure 13, along the connecting pipe or hose 41, and has a structure for selectively aspirating, from the water reservoir 38, the clean water stored there and pumping/channeling said clean water along said connecting pipe or hose 41 to the substantially pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[096] In the illustrated example, in particular, the water feed pump 42 is preferably a displacement pump that has a structure to selectively aspirate a sequence of one or more basic amounts of clean water from the water reservoir 38, and pump/ channeling said sequence of one or more basic amounts of clean water to the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[097] Like the detergent feed pump 24, the operation of the water feed pump 42 is preferably controlled via a corresponding manually operated push button 30 located on the pen-shaped laundry stain removal tool 16.
[098] The water replenishment circuit 40, in turn, is preferably connected to, or incorporated into, the main clean water supply circuit (not shown) of washing machine 1, and preferably comprises: a pipe or connecting hose 43 connecting the water tank 38 to the clean water supply circuit (not shown), so as to channel clean water from the water network towards the water tank 38; and preferably also an electrically controlled on-off valve 44 or similar, which is arranged/placed between the clean water supply circuit and the connecting pipe or hose 43, and is capable of controlling/regulating the flow of clean water along the connecting pipe or hose 43 towards the water reservoir 44.
[099] Finally, the water reservoir 38 preferably consists of a closed holding tank 38, preferably substantially shaped like a parallelepiped, which has a structure for storing a large amount (eg, half a liter) of clean water.
[0100] As an alternative, if the water replenishment circuit 40 does not exist, the water reservoir 38 may preferably comprise: a holding tank preferably substantially in the form of a parallelepiped having a structure to be manually filled with a large amount. (for example, half a liter) of clean water, and is located in the drawer-type support structure 13, so as to be freely accessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is in the fully extracted position, and to be hidden and inaccessible to the user when the drawer-type support structure 13 is arranged in the retracted position; and a manually removable lid having a structure for closing the storage tank, and is preferably situated on top of the same storage tank, so as to be freely accessible to the user when the drawer-like support structure 13 is in the withdrawn position.
[0101] Furthermore, according to another more sophisticated non-illustrated mode of washing machine 1, the detergent reservoir 18 and the water reservoir 38, if present, can be recessed / stowed in the support structure drawer type 13 in a stable way, but easily removable by hand, so as to allow the user to easily manually remove the detergent reservoir 18 and/or the water reservoir 38 from the drawer type support structure 13 when the second is in the position extracted. This option allows the user to refill the detergent reservoir 18 and the water reservoir 38, if present, above the sump with all the advantages involved.
[0102] Obviously, in this case, the manually removable detergent reservoir 18, i.e. the tank 31, is connected to the detergent agent supply circuit 19 and the water supply circuit 20, if present, via a quantity suitable of self-closing hydraulic connectors; while the manually removable water reservoir 38 is connected to the water supply circuit 39 and the water replenishment circuit 40, if present, via a suitable number of self-closing hydraulic connectors of known type.
